Professor Rudolf J. Siebert took the Abitur at the Humanistic Lessing Gymnasium, Frankfurt a.M., Germany, in 1946.   In 1948, he earned a BA in philosophy from the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany.   Professor Siebert earned a MA in theology from the Johannes Gutenberg University in 1953 and a MSW from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., in 1955.   In 1957, Professor Siebert earned a Staatsexamen (History, Theology, Philology, and Philosophy) from the Johannes Gutenberg Universität.   Finally, in 1965, he earned his Ph.D. from the Johannes Gutenberg Universität.
